This week on Sportsfeld Storytime we finish our look back at the 2016 Toronto FC season with the 2016 MLS Cup Final, live from BMO Field. Toronto FC was fresh off their extremely dramatic Eastern Conference Finals victory over the Montreal Impact, and standing in their way of their first MLS Cup was their now rivals, the Seattle Sounders. Two teams that had never won the Cup before enter, only one team would emerge victorious. This week we look back at the drama of the Final, the brilliance of Stefan Frei, and just how utterly, bitterly cold it was at BMO Field that night. Stadiums should have roofs, guys. Being warm is good.
